This programme helps you read text materials written in Japanese characters (Hiragana, Katakana and Kanji) by converting them into roman alphabets. The process is called romanisation. For example, か is read like ca of "car", so it can be written as "ka". There are several systems to romanise Japanese text; the Hepburn system and Kunrei system are both known well. This programme is designed basically according to the system defined by ISO as the international standard.
To use the programme, just copy & paste the text that you want to romanise into the field above, then press the "submit" button.
Every Kanji has more than one pronunciation depending on the context. Therefore, it is sometimes difficult for computers to choose the correct one automatically. You should rely on manual romanisation for the strict interpretation.
